World Cat Federation (WCF) was established by three clubs with an aim to bring more democracy to organization system than the federations available in Rio-de-Janeiro (Brazil, 1988)
have allowed.
Today WCF is the biggest cat organization. Nowadays more than 540 clubs all over the world are members of WCF and their number continues to increase day by day.
All members of WCF, clubs or organizations, are independent in their own business. But all of them follow up the common breed standard and the exhibition conducting rules. WCF, being the biggest
cat organization i n the world, at the same time actively participates in the political life. It provides consultancy services as regards to establishment of laws concerning animals, to the European Parliament in Strasburg.
The administration of WCF is an international organ, which consists of various countries’ representatives elected by the General Council and holds meetings in different countries once in every 2 years.
WCF cooperates very tightly with the other cat federations and it is an active member of World Cat Congress (WCC).
